Outcome

Give franchise managers their own dashboard

Franchise managers want to see their location's training the way HQ sees theirs - who's done, who's behind, who needs a nudge before tomorrow's shift. Generic LMS tools force a choice: either give every franchisee admin rights to the corporate workspace (and watch HQ-owned courses get edited), or keep them locked out entirely (and watch local accountability evaporate). Neither works for a franchise model where corporate owns the standard and the operator owns the floor.

How Aristotl delivers

Aristotl is scoped access by default. The Owner / Admin / Educator / Learner role hierarchy is built in, and permissions scope to region, location, or segment - every franchise manager operates their own dashboard without ever touching HQ-owned content. The manager sees their location's completion, their location's pending learners, their location's exports. HQ keeps full control of the corporate course library, the brand standards, and the rollout calendar. Franchise managers can extend with their own local courses (a regional supplier, a local promotion) without those bleeding into the corporate library. The dashboard the manager sees is the dashboard HQ sees - same data, same UI, scoped down. Local accountability becomes a structural feature, not a process the operations team has to enforce.

Steps to the outcome

  1. Map the role hierarchy

Owner, Admin, Educator, Learner - each scoped to region, location, or segment. Set the franchise hierarchy once and the permissions follow.

  2. Hand each manager their own scope

Franchise managers log in to a dashboard scoped to their locations. Same UI as HQ, scoped data - no admin keys to corporate content.

  3. Protect the corporate library

HQ-owned courses, brand standards, and rollout calendar stay HQ-only. Local additions live in the franchise manager's scope alone.

  4. Roll up to the HQ view

HQ sees every franchise manager's scope as part of the rollup. Same dashboard, fuller scope - the standard view for the operations team.
