How to translate training for multi-language locations

Reach every frontliner in their language without rebuilding courses: enable auto-translation, set per-learner language profiles, review key terms, and ship one course network-wide.

  1. Set per-learner language profiles

    From People, ensure each learner has a preferred-language field set (en, nl, fr, es, de, etc.). For bulk imports, include a language column in the CSV. For existing learners, enable the prompt-on-first-login that asks them to confirm their preferred language. Aristotl uses this profile to deliver every assigned course in the learner's language automatically.

  2. Enable auto-translation on the source course

    On the course settings panel, enable 'Auto-translate per learner'. Select the target languages your network needs. Aristotl translates module text, quiz questions, and scenarios at delivery time, cached per language. You author once in your source language; every learner reads in theirs. No exporting strings, no per-language versions to maintain.

  3. Review brand-critical terminology

    Open the terminology panel for each target language. Aristotl flags brand terms, product names, and SOP-specific vocabulary that should NOT be translated (e.g. menu item names, brand-specific role titles). Lock those terms. Add preferred translations for ambiguous phrases (e.g. 'guest' vs 'customer' in your brand voice). The locked glossary applies network-wide.

  4. Ship one course, reach every language

    Assign the course as you normally would. Each learner sees the course in their preferred language on first open, with quiz answers accepted in that language. Completion data rolls up to one consolidated dashboard regardless of language - HQ tracks the network in one view, not five. Spot-check translations by sampling completed courses in each language for first-week quality.
